Part 13 - The Fame

Bill

Somebody was shaking me. Everything was blurry. I tried to open my eyes but my head hurted so bad. I saw a nurse over, shaking my shoulders and trying to get contact. She spoke to me. I turned my head to the left and saw Tom, sitting on his knees next to. He tried to step back a bit, so he wouldn't be in the way. When i saw him it was like i got strenght. I quickly sat up and everything went black again.
- Oh fuck... i said to myself.
The nurse tried to make me lay down again, but i refused.
- Hey, you must listen to me. Lay down again, she said with her exxagarated calm voice.
It just made me more annoyed. I sat up again and after i while i could see clear again.
- Tom, i said and smiled and looked at my brother.
- My Bill, he said and wrapped his arms gently around me. You hit your head in the ground when you ran. Why were you running?
I started to think. I really couldn't remember anything. After i while everything that happened got to my head.
- Hey Tom, listen.
- Come here first, he said and took my hand. We went back to the waiting room and sat down in couch together. I thought maybe that you wanted to speak to me alone and not with all the nurses around.
I nodded.
- Ofcourse.
I took a deep breath.
- I know which girls who did it, Tom.
- What do you mean?
He looked at me like i was stupid but i knew it was as simple as he didn't understand what i was talking about.
- The people who beated her down.
He stared at me with his mouth a little bit open.
- How... how could you know? You weren't even there.
- She told me that they said something like 'It's her'. Do you remember the stalkers who were following us for months?
- How could i forget, he sighed.
- Well it all makes sense, since they call themselves 'fans'. They thretened our whole family. They also spoke out on the internet about us dating and having girlfriends. They said that if we ever got a girlfriend they would kill her, easily. They are looking for her, Tom. Wherever she goes. She can't be safe anywhere.
Tom just stared at me unable to say anything.
- I can't believe this... Is it possible? They are back.
We both stay silent for a while.
- You should tell her, Bill.
- How? How would i tell her that there's a bunch of girls that wants to kill her?
- I'll do it for you. You've been dealing with so much lately. If it's okay for you ofcourse...
I nodded and he left the room.

Tom

I slowly walked down the hospital corridors. I tried to figure out what to say. The closer i got to her door the more nervous i got. I walked slower just to have more time to think. The thoughts and voices in my head were bouncing around, back and forth. I slowly opened her door and looked in. She was laying there on her bed, she looked at me and smiled weakly.
- Hey Tom.
- Hello, i said and walked up to her bed and sat down next to her.
- Is Bill alright?
I nodded. He was alright.
- He fell in the corridor while he was running. I still don't really know why he ran like a maniac but... yeah.
She looked at me and waited for me to continue.
- I've got something to tell you.
She remained silent.
- You know the people that attacked you... Do you remember just a little bit what they looked like?
- Well, they were girls. I didn't see too much of them. They were wearing black jackets and some of them were wearing a scarf around their head and just showed their eyes. It was all very scary.
- I think i know who did, i said and took a deep breath.
The white walls in the hospital room blinded me. This enviroment was terrible and i wanted to get away here with Bill and her as soon as possible.
- It was the stalkers. The same girls who followed me and Bill for 6 months, and thretenead us with killing our mom.
She looked at me with scared eyes.

Me

I could not believe what Tom just told me. They were out to get me. They wanted to get rid of me. I felt how my whole body was shaking and the white walls were attacking me from all sides, back, front, right, left.
